25 Random Things

25 Random things about myself was made famous by Facebook users, was tag but didnt attempt to list out in facebook, recently saw an editor list out about 25 things that you need to know about google new website features. I was thinking why not i do something similiar along the line.

Been reallie busy with work, life. Valentine Day come and pass by in a flash. I havent been blogging much and havent spend enough quality time with dearie. Life has been so mundane but deep down in my heart i still love her so much. She once ask me why do i love you? i told her i dont have the actual reason, i just grow to love her more each and everyday.

On our 51st month today, I decided to just list down 25 random things about what i love about her.

1) She created a blog about us during our initial courtship days which just melted my heart away!
2) I love the way she say I'm her first priority in life!
3) I feel so me when i'm with her - no pretend no fake, just me and the real me
4) I would like to thank her for putting up with my nonsense at times!
5) I love the way she sounded so anxious and so willingly take care of me when i'm sick.
6) I love the way she say she loves and misses me! =)
7) I love the food she cook for me - breakfast, lunch, dinner
8) I love the way she just surprise me when she cook a meal just for the both of us when i least expect her to do so.
9) I love the way she would sacrifice or compromise even though she would prefer not to do it if she got a choice.
10) I love the times when we do sports together
11) I love the way she would go the extra mile to spend more time with me
12) I love the way we cuddled together on bed. =)
13) They say the most beautiful thing that ever happen to a couple with their eyes close is kiss. Yes i love the way we kiss! =)
14) I love the effort she take to come over my house and stay and yes i love the moment when i wake up and she is the first person i see by my side.
15) My fingers fit so nicely in between the gap of her fingers, my arms rest so nicely on her shoulder, and my hand wrap nicely on her waist, yes, i feel so comfortable going out with her.
16) I love the way she will dress up for me when we go out - yes i do notice those small little difference ranging for earrings, manicure, eyeliner, etc...
17) I love the way she stroke my face when i'm at angry at certain things (not her of course)
18) I love the way she would console and cheer me up when i'm feeling down or angry
19) I love the way we could understand each other, appreciate each other presence even when we are just holding hand or cuddle together without the need of talking.
20) I love the way we could look into each other eyes, and then smile or laugh when everybody around us look so puzzled.
21) I love the way she crack her brain to buy me present - she will go through great length to do it.
22) I love the way she would find the nicest wraper, box and wrap my present ever so nicely to the point where i dont feel like opening the present for fear of damaging it.
23) I love the way she could spend so much money on the present till to a point where i think its abit ridiculous.
24) I love the cross stich that she done for me! (that was just one of the many gifts that i love)
25) If you think 25 things is alot, she list down a hundred of things about what she loves me about me on one of our anniversay and yes, she just take my breath away.

Did a video montage for her on our 4th Anniversary. Will only post part 1 here =) Take it away....

Funny Joke

A boring day, but i recieve an email today and i thought it was real funny (abit crude though) . Nonetheless here it is......

_____________________________________________________________________________________

The Inheritance!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Joe found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a woman to enjoy it with.. So one evening he went to a singles bar where he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away.
'I may look like just an ordinary man,' he said as he walked up to her, 'but in just a week or two, my father will die, and I'll inherit 20 million dollars.'
Impressed, the woman went home with him that evening. Three days later, she became his stepmother.
Moral: Women are so much smarter than men.
_____________________________________________________________________________________
That's the email and I believe the author of this email must be a woman without a doubt! But i dont believe we ever come across such a silly man, its good fun and joke for a good laugh but the reality is it will never happen in real life, so to the author ..... dream on!
No Monday Blue
Its Monday today, dont have the usual monday blue cos it's public holiday. Dearie got to work thus spend my time at home as usual, where else?!?
As i grew older, personal time become more cherish, spare time become more and more like a privilege. I'm a homely person, it's just feel so good to do nothing. Life has been on a rush, it just good to divert that busy schedule / pattern once in a while.
I would love to do nothing for a long period of time, but life cant be wasted like this. Too many wishes, too many goals, too many wants for me to fulfill. I'm thinking hard on what can i do to elevate my financial status and well-being.
I'm thankful of my current status, and like many other individual on earth, i hope it could get better. =)
Tml is tuesday, and back to working life, another step / another less day toward achieving personal goals =0)
Driving and ERP
I have been driving for quite sometimes (back in 2007). There are a few reason why i drive.
Reason :
1)Faster travelling time (most of the time)
2)Do not need to squezee with the crowds (esp rush hours !)
3)Less waiting time (back to reason no.1)
4)More comfortable
5)Lazy
Yup, lazy is one of the main reason. Lazy to wait, lazy to squezee, lazy to walk to mrt station, change mrt line, walk to bus stop.
Basically having a car is more convenient, but it does comes with a price.
It use to be quite ok to drive, but nowadays it getting more and more expensive. Take for eg. Petrol. Its one big killer. I still remember the good old days that full tank cost me $50, now full tank dont even cost me $100, it cost me much more!
A per litre cost more than a bottle of coke (a litre), although i dont drink coke, i prefer water, but i guess petrol fee is qetting a bit ridiculous out there.
Ok, petrol is one issue, now come the ERP. What wrong with the government. I mean why do they seriously need to extend the timing and worse of all, increase the timing for sat.
I just watch the news.
One of our favourite MP says that "It's not the purpose of the government to make the people suffer more. It doesn't make sense that our government wants the people to suffer under high inflation. The purpose of ERP increases is not to increase revenue for the government. The one and only purpose of ERP increases is to manage traffic congestion in Singapore. If there is no traffic congestion, there will be no ERP increases."
Tell me about it, does this sentence really do make sense. There are many more ways to reduce traffic congestion and not simply by increasing ERP charges and setting up more ERP gantries. Even implementing ERP at certain timing where all of us know for some places there are no so call traffic congestion.
I guess we Singapore are not a vocal lot, we just suffer in "silence", we always say "ayiah boh pian lah, no choice lah what can we do" anyway i'm one of the culprit. I just wonder what will happen if we can be just as vocal as the Malaysia or even Thailand.
Will our lives be better??, or will our country economy remain the same if we can be more vocals like what Malaysian or Thais ppl.
To be frank, if a highly paid professional can just think of increasing ERP charges and add more ERP gantries to control the traffic. If that's the only measure to control traffic then i guess, other country esp Thailand, can consider this option, then they would not be having jams every morning!
Times flies........ and of cos i'm old
This post is just something out of the blue. Today i have a little bit more time for myself, and i decided to be my old Kpo self. Go tru friendster, realise that alot of my friends, relatives has move on very fast in their life. Some went on for Star Idol contest, DJ contest. One of my friend is even a current DJ host. Few got married and already given birth.
As i look back, i was planning to get married at the age of 25 and guess what, i'm 26 and not even married, and not marrying soon too. My friend who dont even have the slightest intention of getting married, most of them are happily married now and some even have kids!
As i grew older, more responsibilty to shoulder on and the word "money" become to have more instrinsic value in my life. You beginning to realise school wasnt that shitty, in fact I grew to love the good old days of school. You got nothing but hell lots of times, you play, joke, trying to be funny, and the only thing you worry is Exam. Now, everyday is abt work, juggling between work and relationship. You beginning to realise 24 hours a days is not enough, we should have 48 hours!
And as the old life pattern follows, you study, get a good cert, move on find a decent job, and a decent partner, get married, have a child, start up and family, and see through the same process for your kids, and there u go, u reach old age, getting ready to die, and then say bye bye to this world.
I'm somewhere in the middle of that life pattern right now. Time reallie flies, its been ages since i met up with my old classmates, not that i dont want, is just that we simply dont have enuff time. Things changes from our study life, we work hard for our career, move on so quickly that you think your school exam were just ytd.
4 more years to the big 3 for me. Its not scary anymore, life has been quite mundane. Thankfully i have a partner to share my life with. Happy that everything is fine for me. And as usual, before long, before i realise it, i will be moving on to the next phase of my life journey and needless to say me and my partner will move on in tandam.
On a side note, i cant wait to see our little creation of Kelvin Junior and Joanne junior. I bet they will look damm gorgeous. But that have to wait of cos. =)
The Rich and Their extravagent lifestyle
Today as i pick up a copy of Straits Times, i came across this Special Edition "The Men's Club" - The Superrich @ Play and Work. I suggest you guys should just pick up that copy and have a look at how disgusting those rich ppl are.
In Case, you guys didnt lay your hand on that copy, i just abstract an article (with courtesy of The Straits Times)
Word for word (just to afirmed you that i didnt add salt and pepper to the post)
- A WEALTHY retired businessman went on a shopping spree at Tiffany & Co to show appreciation for the care his family provided him when he was hospitalised recently.
He showered the women in his life with diamonds. Says Ms Hew Yee Min, managing director at Tiffany & Co. "It was also an emotional moment for his wife and three daughters as he picked up several pieces of diamond jewellery for them to remember him by, in case anything happens to him"
That's one palpable reason for men to splurge on their women. At Louis Vuitton, its spokesperson Aileen Png says that typically, a man spends about $3,500 on bags, shoes, clothes and accessories for his loved ones in her shop. At Hermes, the bill can balloon to $300,000, as was the case of a man who bought a Birkin bag in crocodile hide and diamonds for his partner.
The super rich dont shop like ordinary mortals. Mr Christopher Kilaniotis, managing director for Cartier Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, recalls having to open his boutique at midnight for a regular customer who wanted to buy two watches for his wife who had just given birth.
At Sincere Watch, which markets top-end Frank Muller watches, its brand manager Angela Lor recites the case of a couple who wanted the 12 numerials on the watch dial to be replaced with letters from their names set in diamonds. The watchmaker was pleased to help, at a cool $400,000 to do the jobs.
Louis Vuitton's Ms Png says the dicerning men buy seasonal or limited edition bags and accessries for their women. For others, bejeweled watches and handbags are just as good.
Tiffany & Co had a special sale with its 24-carat rough diamond last year. The deal : customer visits the mine to see the diamond, chooses a cut with a diamond cutter in Antwerp, and decides on the setting with the jewelery designer. When all's done, the masterpeice is celebrated over breakfast at Tiffany's in New York.
As Tiffany & Co had only one diamond of this size, the deal was for one customer only, at a price of US$1 million (S$1.5million). It was snapped up in no time. -
See? disguesting isnt it.
If you think its the max, wait till you read this below....
- Dr Bernard Cheong has more than 100 watches, the most expensive being a rare Harry Winston Opus V that costs $250,000. He also added a $230,000 MB&F Horological Machine No (HM1) to his list. In any case, Dr Bernard Cheong is the owner of Lifeline Medical Group and property development companies. A bold statement was made by him. "I am not wealthy. I am just trying to find a hobby with meaning. The watches i have are inexpensive" -
What the hell! A person who could buy watches at exhorbitant prices say he is not rich! Then i have to ask him what do i then have to call myself?
The final draw is when he says his watches are not expensive! That Harry winston Opus V could easily buy a 4-room HDB flat now lah! Not expensive? My ass !
Someone wake up his ideas pls!
I walk from Eunos Mrt back to my Home!
Yea, you read it right, I walk home all the way from Eunos Mrt Station back to my home, and i took ard 20mins to reach home.
And Guess what, when i reach the bus station where i alway alight, the bus that i should take to go home did not even arrive. (to be exact, i cant even see any approaching)
Today, the traffic is killing, if i were to wait for my bus, i'm not sure what time will i reach home. The traffic at my house area is terrible, a mere 5-10min bus journey could take up to 30mins depending on the traffic condition. Yea, i'm not bluffing, it is that bad. Its CRAZY!
Luckily today weather is still fine, otherwise i will be soaked in my own perspiration.
So.... I save time and money and finally i have some exercise after a while =)
My 26th Birthday!
10th of Sep is always a special day for me, because its my Birthday!!!
This is also a special day for the Cartier family too, they choose to unveil their newly renovated boutique at Takashimaya on this special day! Talk about auspicious date, mine is definately one! =) *big grinz
Put that aside, its reallie a joyous occassion for me less of course that i was sick on my bday. Birthday is always a day that i will look forward to, for many years, i always sink into a mild depression or PMS you called it a few days leading to my birthday. It's weird or there is some weird philosphy theory behind it, but that's like how it had been for me over the years. This year, that feeling was not that strong, it did have, i guess. But i think it did go away pretty fast, and i'm was pretty happy and relax till my bday.
My bday was on Monday, so it was pretty much a long weekend for me. Dear was sweet, she has always been sweet, i guess that's the most understatement i ever made =) Weekend was good because she was with me, like any other normal weekend, her presense just make weekend better and making monday ever so miserable (because we work the next day you see). This week was even better, because its my Birthday, and we can for once say that we looking forward to Monday and We LOVE MONDAY!hahahah.
Talking about birthday, and you will know that it actually means 1 year older. I pretty fine when i was in my teens, that means i'm closer to being consider as matured! (at least that was the thought / remark that i had then) but when u past the legal age of 21 years old and when u just 4 years before u hit the BIG 3, things dont seems to be the same! I guess different stage of life, u think differently!
I think i made the statement last year, quarter of my life is gone, and what have i achieve!? In fact, it should be more than a quarter, i dont think i ever live till 100 years old. I guess sometimes it good to reallie make time to reflect on one self and finding back the meaning to one's life. I guess i do lots of reflection recently, and i kinda conclude God has been kind to me, and i thank god for that. I'm not a religious person, if u think i am that is. Its just that over the years, many things happen, and i come to realize that everything happen for a reason, and it did make me a better person physically and spiritually.
After 26 years of life on earth, i feel that i'm pretty blessed in terms of my state of health, financial, love life, family bonding, etc.... Though it can be better still in terms of some aspect of my life, but i guess one cant be too selfish to demand the best for everything. Treasue what you have is what i always preach myself, and i'm thankful i'm still in a better position than many, but still not the best position i could be in. One must have dreams and at the same time be contented or treasured what one had at that moment.
I'm pretty happy that after being so busy for so many months, my family life is still in check, there still a great sense of bonding when we do reallie sit down and chat our hearts out.
My love life is blossoming, we been through different aspect / stages of our life, though not yet to our next phase of life, but still we have been there for each other and i guess we matured as a person and our love for each other just grew stronger each and every day.
My health state did went through a few scares, but i guess i still considered pretty healthy to some. =)
My financial situation has been good, though like i say it can be better, but i would say i'm in a better position than i was said 5 years ago, when i was going through a rough patch of cos. But i have bigger dreams to achieve and attain. I dont come from a well-to-do family, in fact someone below average, so the hunger for financial success is strong.
Money is not the most essential things in life some might say, but in this society right now, it is big enough to be the root of all evils. I been through times where money has cause strains in my relationship with my love ones. You cant argue the fact on the importance money played in the modern part of our society. Sad, but its the awful truth of life.
So i'm thankful as it is right now, then all i have been good for me.
My birthday was an eventful one starting for the midnight till the end of Monday. Dear has always been very thoughtful, and she just make my day ever so happening and meaningful. Shall not go through in details because the details should just keep right in heart and was not meant to be shared with anyone else =)
Joy is what i can share =)
Anyway She bought me a Mont Blanc Pen! it was like so ex that i got to think twice, thrice or maybe many more times before i would even get one for myself. Sometimes its not the price of the gift, its the thought and the value of the gift that matters, and to me she just went beyond what i think she would be capable of doing. Its not like she earn tones of money, but she exceptional, she's my Superwoman!
My parents gift was cool, i got myself a limited edition Seiko stopwatch as a bday gift, how cool is that!
My sis, she got me something extra-ordinary, she got me boxer shorts! It's a real weird gift from her though. Hahah...
Maybe i will post some pics soon.
Not forgeting birthday wishes from my colleagues and friends, they are a wonderful lot too, its always bring smile to my face to know they do take an effort to wish me! =)
Lastly, its a real enjoyable bday for me. A real special day, where it will always have a special place in my heart, as well as in my memory lane.......................... =)
Life is so fragile
When i was young, i always think i was different, different as in i'm stronger than normal kids, just like superman or some action hero in cartoons. I always have that kind of mentality that i'm just like superman, until i fell sick. Then i realise i'm just like any other normal kids. Once a while, i will have that kind of feeling till i got sick again.
Although i no longer think that i'm superman, i still think that i'm quite healthy. But this mindset is starting to change. Because when i was young, i can run and play right after i recover from sickness, but right now i no longer have that same level of drive / energy. And i find that i take longer than last time before i can fully recover. Therefore i realise that 1) i getting old, 2) i'm not as healthy
Reason being very simple, i dont excerise that regulary anymore. I use to excerise everyday because i was a swimmer / athlete. Nowadys due to work commitment, and lazy of course, cant really find time to excercise. To be frank, i have been quite paranoid about my health status recently.
Recently, saw on newspaper, that a young triathelete collapse right after a SEA GAMES trial and within hours he pass away. Prior to that he got no known heart problem or whatever. Sports circle is not big, so basically there are friends that i know know him. Then today, my student's friend pass away as well, apparently he was diagnose with brain tumor all of a sudden, and he is only 18 years old!
Its really kind of scary that people so young can just pass away, one day they live life as per normal, then next day they are gone. Its very scary, and it make me ponder that life is really very fragile, you can be very healthy now, but u never know what would happen next. I have heard too many times, too many stories that people all of a sudden are diagnose of certain illness and not longer after pass away.
There are times when i got really sick, then paranoid begin to sink in, i begin to worry will i leave the world if i sleep. Yes, its rather negative, but that the state of mind i'm in sometimes. I was thinking to myself, i still have a lot of unfinish stuff to do, its a pity if i just leave like that, and to think that i will leave all the people close to my heart, its very heart wrenching.
Recently, i find that i can just faint on the spot, dont know why, then sometimes before i sleep, i find that my body feel very different. I dont know whether is it because i am very exhausted because of work, stress or whether do i really have health problem. I just went doc this morning, because i was feeling unwell and go take MC and at the same time, i went to do a blood test for Liver test. There's a few times, where my hand become very red, it was really very red, and dearie's dad say that it might be due to liver problem. Then he begin to tell story. Of cos, dearie begin worried and ask me to go for blood test. Me too of cos, already being paraniod become very worried too. I hope the result will be fine. I hope i'm still healthy. I begin to treasure my state of health as i grow older. I begin to understand why people prefer to die rather than to live life very sickly. The thought of it, really make it feel very painful.
Right now, i always thank god that i can wake up from my bed the next morning. I know i sounded abit extreme, but things can just happen like this, like what was reported on the newspaper, so never take things for granted.
Life is short, and we just live once. Nobody know where we came from and nobody knows where we will go after death. Yes, there are story about ghost, but there are no real proof as of yet. Nonetheless as i grow older, i treasure each and every sec of my life, and like i say, i thank god for able to wake up healthy from my bed the next morning.
I just hope everything would be fine for my blood test. =)
Six month into 2007
Times flies, i havent blog for like 4 months, and yes, i'm having a hard time keeping my blog alive.
This time, i have a valid reason, i reallie dont have too much time because if you know my schedule, you would wonder why do i'm always that busy. Nonetheless i remind myself always with the goals i set the beginning of this year. Yes! I'm busy working hard for my goals, for my new year resolution.
And yes after 6 months into Year 2007, I'm very proud to say that i'm on course to achieve my new resolution, that's to earn $100,000
Its a wonderful feeling to know that i'm on course, but that comes with a price. What prices you might wonder. Very simple, once i earn $100,000 means that my income tax will increase tremendously as compare to last year. It's at least $4000 of tax. Now i really feel the pinch on income tax, but that the price you have to pay if you earn more. That's why by reading financial books, it will helps you understand taxation better and you will try to use the legal loopholes to reduce tax.
Anyway i'm happy that my investment is also reaping good profits.
Will update you more in my next blog entry. but for now, i must say YES! I'm going to reach my $100,000 ! =)
Why do we Invest!?
Time flies isnt it... 30+ days has gone for the year of 2007. Its already the month of Feb. I did state the reason why we should invest. Now i shall briefly run through how again why one should invest. If you have decided to do so, you better read and think about it again.
In order to be rich, we need to invest! Maybe i should put it this way, in order for your money to work harder for you, you should invest. But many will say investing is risky. I have to agree with those people, just like I agree with those people who made the remark of saying driving a car is risky.
Driving a car can be risky when
1) If you fall asleep while driving,
2) If you drive without hands (searching for things, using handphone, etc),
3) If you are not sober (after drinking session)
4) No knowledge of driving a car
But is driving a car really that risky. In fact it's not, it really depend on the individual who is driving the car. So if an individual do not have the knowledge to drive a car, it would be better off for him to hire a chauffer (if he rich enough) otherwise taking public transport is a wise choice.
So investing is the same, you must have the knowledge. If you dont have, it will be better off if you engage a professional to help you do it. Then you will reduce your risk.
By putting money in the bank, is it risky? In fact the answer is YES!
I believe many of you will argue with me that HOW COULD THIS BE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!
Let me just say kindly calm down and listen to me.
Firstly, by putting your money in the bank could be risky because the bank might collapse, close down. Yes, it is rather unlikely, but there is still a slight possiblility. Anyway It did happen a few times in different countries before, so dont strike out this possiblility. For your information banks are all private limited.
Secondly is How much do you earn by putting your money in the account. Not much right isnt it. It will only earn you about 0.125% per annum(for most saving account)and maybe slightly more if the bank has any promotion and / or putting a larger amount of cash in a fixed deposit. If you going to have all your money in your saving account, you are giving yourself a big injustice. Yes, it give you alot of liquidity, because as and when you need the money, you can use it. However do you know of such a thing call inflation? Inflation in singapore is averaging about 3% per annum based on the past inflation rate data for 40 years. Its very high isnt it. However in the recent 2 - 3 years, it is only on an average of 0.5%- 1.5% per annum.
So.... What is inflation ? for the benefit of those who dont understand the meaning, it is a rise in the general level of prices, as measured against some baseline of purchasing power. That means that the value of your money will depreciate over time / over the years. Can you recall that a bowl of noodles cost you $1 during 10-20 years ago. But right now, it easily cost you $2.50 to $3.50 a bowl. That's Inflation!
By putting money in the bank saving account, you are not helping yourself, you are losing out. Inflation is eating up your money. Your hard-earned money loses its value over time. What is $1 today, might not be $1 tml or next year. It is of lesser value. Do you think it is Right? Do you think it is FAIR!? I definately dont think so!
It doesnt make sense that your hard earned money is no longer worth that much. Its your blood and sweat, how can anybody just cut the value of your money just like this. But to be frank, that's the reality of life.
So now, does it make sense to you that by putting your money in the bank is risky? So what can you do so that your money dont lose value but appreciate. The only way is...... to have proper investment strategy.
But how do one invest ??? and investing is still risky despite knowing that investing is beneficial. Knowledge and Information is important. If you know something, you can make a informed decision, a better decision. And like i have mention, engage a professional to manage your investment portfolio would be beneficial to you.
"Since Investing is good, i should invest everything, so that my money would not loses it value. " one might asked.
Although we hate the idea of our hard money would lose value over time, but we still need liquidity afterall, therefore it is very important to strike a good balance between having cash and investing. In fact, by investing a portion of your money, it can potentially earn a better interest, and the interest earned could offset the inflation and gain in value as well.
So think about it. I will cover on the next topic on how one could invest, despit many claiming that they have hardly any money left in their saving account every month. I will also show you some of my portfolio that i am investing.
It doesnt make sense if i dont know nuts about investing and yet i keep writing about investing. Just like it doesnt make sense to listen to a teacher, when the teacher do not understand the topic he/she is teaching.
So stay tune, and get ready to INVEST!
A Brand New Year - 2007
*Welcome Year 2007 with open arms!
It's a brand new year, thus a brand new dreams and goals for this coming year.
How do you become a millionaire?
The millionaire dollar qns " How do I become a millionaire?"
Now lets list down the no. of ways to become a millionaire.
1) Inherit a million dollars from your passed away parents
2) Win a million dollars from Casino
3) Participate and win the variety show " Who Wants to Be a Millionaire "
4) Queue and pray wholeheartedly that you will strike lottery for a million dollar
5) Buy lots of Singapore Sweeps tickets
6) Work hard to earn a million dollar
7) Try to spot and pick up money on the floor (hoping its a million dollar)
8) Invest your money.
So from this list of 8, which are the likelyhood of us normal people becoming a millionaire?
For pt no. 1, Congratulations! No hard work needed, you are just born lucky! *Claps* How many of us belong to this type of family? If you belong to this type, you probably wouldnt even be bothered to read my blogs as you will be busy party away and driving your porsche, ferrari and picking up hot chicks and having a wonderful time at night.
For pt no. 2, Tell me who can be so lucky!?! Unless you are god of gambler, otherwise if you dont lose until you got no pants to wear you are damm lucky lioaz. If people can win mountains of money from casino, why are there more and more casino coming up in the world!? Why would Singapore suddendly wanna build not one but two casino at one time. Why .. Why.. Why! Are Casino santa clause? Who are the real winner? The Casino or the gambler? Think about it man!
For pt no. 3. How many participant walks away with the top prize " a million dollar " from the show? Yes there's a few. only one handful in the whole wide world. Will you be the one? In fact one of the winner in US is now in jail because he has been in cahoots with the host so that he can win the top prize. You and me know it is so so very difficult. Lets quote places close to our heart, no one in singapore ever wins that game anyway. The qns are so difficult that, is either you know it all or you are so damm lucky that you can answer all the question correctly by guessing (at the latter stage of the game) A million dollar prize money!?! You needs lots of luck!
For pt no. 4, anybody reading this win a million dollar by betting on 4D? I guess whatever you have put in, if you are lucky enough you could win in back at a later stage or at least recoup some of your losses. Of cos there are these minority who just born lucky, they can just keep striking 4D every week. But can their winnings amount amounts up to a million dollar. Its a hard qns because although they do strike 4D every week, but the amount might be less than what the person has placed for their total bet for the week. What bout Toto? Anyway who walk away with a million dollar prize here? Hardly man, in fact, i dont think so. When the prize money snow ball to a few million, and if there are winners for that particular prize. Its normally divided by a lot of winners. So at the end of the day, one person get a million dollar? No way!
For pt no. 5, You have a chance to win $2 million dollars. But seriously, have you came across a person who religiously buy singapore sweeps for at least 20 to 30 years or even more. If yes, then did he/she manage to win that ultimate prize? At least ppl i know didnt, maybe your circle of friends are just luckier. Just maybe ah.....
For pt no. 6, Unless you are a CEO of a company who can get paid millions of dollars a year. Or even a well-known doctor or lawyer by profession. There are also other profession as well, but you and me know that they belong to the elite group, the high income earners. Ask yourself, how many of you guys know of somebody close to you that earns more than $10,000 a month. Majority of us falls into the category of less than $10,000 a month on waged income. With the current income and the current expenditure you have, you get your net saving (good if you still have saving). You do a simple maths, how many years can you save before you reach that million dollar mark? For eg. if you can save a $1,000 every month. You need to save like this for at least 84 years before you reach a saving of $1 million dollar. 84 years ! can you save for so long? hey wait, are you able to save $1,000 every month anyway? Think about it.
For pt no. 7. If you can pick up so much monies then i think you are super duber lucky. Whatelse can i say.
For pt no. 8. Is it possible?? Of course, there every possiblity if you know how to invest. Investment means you take calculated risk in order to generate the returns you required. You heard of people becoming rich through investing dont you. Invest through property, stocks, blah blah blah blah.... But you also heard that people become bankrupt through investing. I would like to point out the fact that, if you invest wrongly, you bound to be at the wrong side of things. People who invest for the sake of investing are not called investing, but rather it is call speculating. And that is no difference from placing bet in casino. You need to be aware of certain situation before you invest, you need to understand before you invest. That's why i said earlier that "investment means you take calculated risk in order to generate the returns you require." Just like when you go for your sch exam. If you dont understand the subject and if you dont study prior to the exam. Do you not think you will fail the exam? It the same for investing. Know the investment instrument, and you will know wat to do with it basically. And all you have to do next is to have "time"
If you look at the top 50 richest people here in singapore, you will notice something that they all have in common beside owning their own company or sitting in very high position of a company.
They INVEST!
So what are the chances for you to be a millionaire from this list of 8?
The choice is yours but the answer is clear for all to see. If you are still confuse, use probablility method to measure each of the listed 8 to see which one give you the highest chances of becoming rich, becoming a millionaire!
Think about it !
I'm Back with a purpose ...
Its being 4 months since i last blog. I know i have been neglecting my blog. I have been
1) lazy
2) lack of time
3) too tired to blog
Ok yesh, i might be giving excuses, but well that what life is all about isnt it. Trying to find a good reason to bail you out of trouble.
Anyway i decided that i should blog not just about my personal life, but also some of my investment tips and ideas.
I guess blogging is a good platform for me to share some of my investment strategy and ideas to my friends or like-minded people.
For those who might not know, i have been in the finance industry for quite a while. I dare not say that i had seen enough. Everyday is a learning experience for me, i have been gainning valuable experience as the no. of days past. Being in the finance industry, allows me to be more aware of alot of things.
Wanna be a millionaire? Is it that hard to become one?
I strongly believe everybody is capable of becoming one. It take prudent approach of one when they invest their money. It's not just about being lucky, being a millionaire is not about queueing to buy toto, buying singapore sweeps, or gambling away in casino or even participating "who wants to be a millionaire" show. I'm not saying we dont need luck. We definately need luck and we also need good investment discipline and strategies.
I will share with you guys soon, meanwhile i'm in the midst of updating my entries on braces. (for those who dont know, i have been on braces for close to half a year already)
So till then, stay tune. =)
